As disclosed by Sunny Ali, CEO of Largest International E-commerce Ecosystem called Extreme Commerce, Pakistan has got the approval from Amazon to register Pakistan in the verified Amazon seller list. Pakistanis can now register their account on Amazon and become part of the seller list by using their Pakistani Passport and details. Previously, Pakistanis had to go through huge hassle as they had to use other countries details to get registered on Amazon Seller List.

Pakistan will show up in the list of allowed countries for Amazon sellers in less than 24 - 48 hours. The collective effort of the Ministry of Commerce and NECC has enabled Pakistan towards such incredible achievement. The people at the working end include Omer Gajial (Ex Amazon Category Development Head for Amazon’s North American Division), Aisha Moriani (Joint Secretary of Ministry of Commerce), Shoaib Sarwar (Deputy Consul General, Consulate General Pakistan, Los Angeles) along with Badar Khushnood from Pakistan Software Houses Association.

As the trend of e-commerce has accelerated exponentially in the recent years due to easy accessibility of internet, and has increased manifold during the Covid-19 pandemic as well, this accomplishment will further open new opportunities for startup businesses and entrepreneurs.

With this huge announcement, we hope it paves ways for economic growth by enabling Pakistanis to put their input on world's biggest e-ecommerce platform.
