Citizens mourning the attack on the Muslim family

A Canadian Muslim family of Pakistani-origin was murdered in cold blood by a 20-year-old man who rammed his truck on the family in a hate-driven Islamophobic crime.

The attack occurred in the city of London, Ontario province, Canada. The family were out for a walk when the attacker, Nathanial Veltman, rammed his pick-up truck over the five family members. He was later arrested about 6km away from the crime scene.

Four members of the family have been killed in this ruthless hate-crime. Among the murdered are a man, his wife, his mother and daughter, while his son has been injured. The names of the victims have not been mentioned on the request of their loved ones to protect their privacy.

Ontario police said that the driver was motivated by hate and intentionally struck the family because they were Muslims.

Canadian PM Justin Trudeau said that he was horrified by the incident and expressed his condolences.

Pakistan PM Imran Khan also condemned the attack and called for countering Islamophobia worldwide.
